Gadgets & Gizmos

Every person loves gadgets and gizmos when creating food fondue, whether they need to be in your kitchen is up to you.  I personally love kitchen gadgets.  Things that will make meal prep, presentation, and cleanup easier and faster.  When we redid our kitchen with new cabinets, I literally was visualizing where all my small appliances would go.  Rather than a pantry, I have a small appliance pantry that also holds my pots & pans.  I wouldn’t have it any other way!

Some of my favorite gadgets include my garlic press – it keeps the mess to a minimum; food processor – making smoothies or homemade salsa, both are a winner here; my Crock Pot – check out my favorite Chicken Recipes on how easy it is to use; Chopper – best to use when feeling extra stress; and then my collection of spice blends.  You may not think of spices as a gadget or gizmo, but when it comes to having fun with flavors in cooking, there are no better than spices.  Last but certainly not least, my wine bottle opener – Houdini.  He may be manual labor, but I love how he wants to please me first. By always opening the bottle, removing the cork without leaving a trace and then relinquishing the cork for my collection barrel.

I also love gadgets that make outdoor cooking more enjoyable and easier.  Just today I saw an outdoor pantry that can hold not just my grilling tools, but additional spices, tinfoil, even dishes!  Now for that outdoor wine cooler, I have the fine wines already delivering to my door. I am looking forward to bringing you these ideas. So you can have just as much fun as me when it comes to cooking for your family.
